A light outfit post; Ross took these at the lake near our apartment. I bought this skirt recently at the Dear Creatures sample sale. When I went home and put it away in my closet, I realized that I now have 3 pastel pink skirts. Maybe I should branch out to other colors.

I’ve been admiring the items in the Femme de Bloom Etsy shop for a while, but finally took the plunge and placed an order for several items including earrings, collar clips, and a brooch. I figured I would treat myself for getting a new job (and hey, I can wear these to work so it all works out in the end).

Collar clips are great for adding a cute little touch to a shirt collar, and I love the detail on the earrings and brooch. Is it weird that I like food-themed jewelry?

hanhgry.com | at the lakeI’ve had a pixie cut for a couple years now, and I randomly decided to start growing it out. Unfortunately, my hair is in that horrible awkward phase when you grow out a short haircut, so some days it looks okay, other days I look like I have a bad mullet. I’ve been growing it out since December, with some trims here and there…but I hate how slowly it’s going!

I live across the street from this lake, so I really should take advantage of the photo opportunities it presents; it’s a little oasis in the middle of the city.

Outfit details:
Shirt: American Eagle Outfitters, old
Skirt: Day Dreamer skirt in pink, Dear Creatures, on sale!
Shoes: Irella heels in nude, BAIT Footwear, via ModCloth
Collar clips: Femme de Bloom

  1. You’re so lucky! I wish I lived closer to the lake. (Yesterday I drove an hour to shoot at Lake Michigan…ugh.) And I love the jewelry you got from Femme de Bloom–I’ve been following her on IG for some time and still haven’t got anything, but I think now’s a good time! By the way, your hair is adorable no matter what!

    • The things we do for good photos! I’m sure your photos at Lake Michigan will look gorgeous, you always have such great backdrops!
